5th Yr - Anti Litter Short Film Awards Ceremony!

5^th Year Art students had a fantastic afternoon in the Roscommon Arts Centre on Wednesday 21^st March, for the Awards ceremony and screening of their Anti Litter Short film, entitled 'The Litter, The Witch and the Wardrobe’. This is third year Roscommon County Council in association with the New Media Institute has ran this competition for secondary schools in the area and is a really worthwhile projects for all participants involved. The 5^th Year class spent several weeks creating storyboards, scripts, props and costumes, using a variety of different recycled materials, inspired by the characters of the famous fantasy novel by CS Lewis. Congratulations to all the students for their hard works, and a special thank you to Lauran O Sullivan who presented an introduction to the film on the day, on behalf of the class. The premiere of this years Anti Litter Short Film Competition in association with Roscommon County Council

and the New Media Institute, Kildare will be held in the Roscommon Art Centre on the 21st March 2012. 5th Year students filmed their twist on the 'Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe', back in December, after spending several weeks creating storyboards, scripts, props and costumes.
