DEC 2011
Dublin City Gallery, Huge Lane
On Thursday the 1st of December, Ms Kelly's Leaving Cert Art students had an early start to make the trip to Dublin to visit the annual NCAD (National College of Art and Design) Open Day. Students went to talks and presentations and were allowed to walk through the First Year Core Studies studio, gaining first-hand experience of what a studio environment is like, seeing work by Ceramic, Fashion Design, Visual Communication, and Fine Art students. In the afternoon the group travelled across town to the Huge Lane, Dublin City Gallery. Students saw a wide range of modern and contemporary art, which was of great benefit for their Art History and Appreciation studies.
